I’m currently writing a book on leading and working with Gen Z in professional workplaces.
This work is part of my broader focus on how we work with others.
When I became aware of the frustration experienced by leaders trying to onboard new employees from this generation and that of Gen Z employees themselves, as they tried to navigate a workplace that was not built with them in mind, I realized I wanted to be part of the solution.
Ultimately I want to help people work better together, to create greater harmony in the workplace.
This work feels more important now than ever, at a time in history marked by deep divisiveness and hostility. I feel that we can heal as a society only when we take the time to understand each other... and I believe this begins in the workplace.
Whereas many leaders label today's young professionals as having poor work ethic, lacking ownership, or even being lazy, my research has found that this is not usually the case.
The challenges leaders are currently facing when it comes to relating to and empowering Gen Z employees comes down to, primarily, communication.
My goal is to help leaders understand why they are encountering certain roadblocks with regards to their youngest team members and provide clear guidance for moving forward.
Specifically, I have designed this book to help leaders...
